CEO Reflections: The Next Era of Video Innovation

Last week, Connatix announced a significant investment from private equity firm Court Square Capital Partners. This major milestone will position Connatix for rapid global growth, M&A opportunities, and accelerated innovation. Most importantly, it will help us to continue pursuing the mission that has driven us every step of the way: to help publishers succeed.

Our origin story mirrors that of many other startups. We opened a small WeWork in 2014 with a few employees. We karaoked after work and eventually grew big enough to own our own foosball table. We were scrappy, collaborative, and oftentimes ‘all hands on deck.’ But what set us apart over the years has been a culture of innovation, and a mission-driven approach that we’ve never wavered from. Seven years later, our team has grown to 150+ employees globally, and we work with thousands of the world’s biggest names in publishing and advertising.

While our business has grown tremendously, so have the needs and expectations of our partners. Now we must rise to new heights, and continue innovating to help our partners succeed. There are already many initiatives underway that will positively impact both publishers and advertisers alike - AI-driven contextual targeting, newsroom automation, and content creation tools that leverage advanced machine learning technologies. As always, we will continue to ‘innovate to survive’ and build high-impact solutions for our valued partners.

So, what can you expect to see next from Connatix?

In this next era of growth, we’re working hard to:

  • Expand our workforce in new markets, starting with the UK later this year, to connect publishers and advertisers globally
  • Amplify contextual offerings for video with new targeting tools and contextual insights
  • Continue innovating in fields like video automation with advanced machine learning technologies

We have always worked hard to meet the unique needs and expectations of our partners, and that isn’t going to change. From new product innovations to international expansion, I’m excited about what the future holds, and I’m thankful for the Connatix team and our partners who helped us get here.
